The R427A refrigerant is a 100% HFC blend that can be used to retrofit existing R22 systems.

R427A has excellent performance, very similar to that of R-22, and can be used both for the conversion of low and medium temperature refrigeration systems and in air conditioning installations.

Non-toxic, non-flammable and ODP 0 fluid, the R427A blend only requires replacement of the system's original oil (mineral or alkylbenzene) with a POE lubricant.

However, the R427A refrigerant has a good tolerance of the original oil residue in the POE oil (up to 10/15% of AB or mineral oil residue), which allows quite simple conversion procedures.
